Firehouse Kitchen® is a television show produced and hosted by a former professional firefighter, that features a fun filled day in the life of a firefighter centered around a meal.

Firehouse Kitchen is based in El Dorado Hills, just outside Sacramento, California. It is managed through 2nd Alarm Enterprises, LLC. A company owned and operated by firefighters. The web design, t-shirt design, embroidery and clerical support are all provided by companies owned by firefighters. We feel that it is an honor and privilege to be a part of the fire service and to visit with firefighters all over the country.

Steven Sprague, your host and executive producer, has been involved with the fire service for twelve-years, as both a professional and volunteer firefighter. He graduated from UC Davis, where he also played college football. He can be seen throughout the year in his kilt as he participates in the traditional Scottish Games. His family is full of firefighters and police officers, even his brother is a fire captain in Southern California. He learned his way around a kitchen when he was a professional firefighter and spends time catering several different gatherings throughout the area in which he lives.

Inviting the public to see the gourmet abilities of our firefighters while sneaking a peek at the daily lives and excitement that is the fire service is something fun and unique. Thank you for joining us as a part of this experience.
